Group Yoga Therapy for People Living with Chronic Pain: Improving Vagal Efficiency with Yoga

Speaker: Sara Hall, MS, APRN, CNS, PMGT-BC 

Program Objectives:

1. Describe the vagus nerve and polyvagal theory.
2. Identify how yoga can improve vagal tone.
3. Discuss the results of a group yoga program for people living with chronic pain.

Course Agenda:

1. Review the autonomic nervous system, polyvagal ladder, and polyvagal theory
2. Discuss vagal efficiency and how yoga can increase a sense of safety in the body
3. Share data collected via RedCap for the past 3 years of group yoga programs for people living with chronic pain
4. Participant discussion
