Position Description

Overview
Join our client as an RN Supervisor in the Surgery Department, where you will lead a team in providing exceptional patient care. You will play a vital role in staff development, ensuring quality operations, and enhancing the skills of your team. This is an opportunity to make a significant impact in a supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities
● Supervise daily activities of the unit utilizing quality and cost-effective patient care principles
● Prioritize, reassign, and redistribute work including scheduling and delegating workflow
● Review and reassign patient assignments based on continuity and skill level
● Coordinate scheduling and maintain appropriate staffing levels
● Coordinate orientation program and training of newly hired team members
● Coordinate staff education/in-services/specialized skilled training programs
● Collaborate with the Manager/Director to resolve complex unit situations
● Evaluate and guide staff through coaching and provide immediate feedback

Schedule and Shift Details
● Shift: 6a-2:30p Mon-Fri. No weekends or holidays.

Languages
● Fluent English

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or higher
• Valid Certified Nurse Operating Room (CNOR) certification/license
• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) certification/license in Iowa (IA)
